Realizing the importance and impact of exercise and healthy food choices, OCPA has added practitioners who specialize in lifestyle management and can assist patients to adopt a healthier lifestyle. This medically supervised program can be a stand-alone service focused on diet and exercise, or as an additional service to complement your psychiatric care to create a thorough and complete treatment plan.

Our unique perspective is to focus on long-term health to ensure our patients not only experience the peace of mental health, but also the invigorating energy of a healthy body for years to come.

Our experience with general medicine and psychiatric care has proved that implementing a healthy lifestyle as part of the treatment process results in better outcomes. Through our Health & Wellness service we can treat a range of medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, and more.

Very few health problems are isolated in the human body. Think of the body as one big machine. If one part is broken, chances are it will eventually lead to other parts breaking down or other complications. We want to make sure all parts are working together to keep things running smoothly and prevent further breakdowns.

For example, a patient who deals with anxiety may also suffer from high blood pressure or other medical problems. If we address the high blood pressure through diet and exercise, it may positively influence the symptoms of his or her anxiety, and vice versa.

We have years of experience providing medical care and educating patients to help them truly understand his or her medical condition and the different methods that will contribute to improving their overall health and wellness. We have conducted seminars at retreats, universities, churches, missions, and hospitals, and now with this added service we can educate you about healthy living and how it affects all aspects of life right here in our office.
